🎉 Wishbell — Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Wishbell is a birthday and celebration reminder app. It is free, shows no ads, and is built so that your data stays yours. This page explains exactly what the app does with data — it's short, because Wishbell collects almost nothing.

What Wishbell stores

The people, dates and notes you add are stored on your device and, if you're signed into iCloud, synced through your private iCloud database (CloudKit). That data is tied to your Apple ID; we (the developer) have no server of our own that stores it, and we cannot read it.

Contacts

If you use the Contacts import, Wishbell reads names and birthdays from your address book on your device only, to add the ones you pick. Your contacts are never uploaded anywhere by Wishbell.

Notifications

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push servers are involved.

Analytics

Wishbell may collect a minimal set of anonymous usage events (for example: app opened, a reminder was created) to understand which features matter. This never includes names, birthdays, notes, contacts, or anything you type. You can turn analytics off any time in Settings → Analytics.

What Wishbell does NOT do

Data deletion

Delete the app and its data is gone from the device; to remove synced data too, delete the entries in the app first (which removes them from your iCloud), or manage iCloud data in iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.
